Audwin chuckled a little when she said that, but said nothing in return. He just continued to run his fingers through her hair, feeling content.
She went quiet for a while, unable to say anything else. She then took interest with Audwin’s hair and reached up to run her fingers on it as well. “They’re so soft…”
He chuckled softly at her comment. “I’m glad you zink so,” he said and then smiled sheepishly. “I do like to take care of it,” he continued. “Even if I…don’t always remember to take care of ze rest of me…” he mumbled and then laughed a little.
Shamsel narrowed her eyes and pouted at his answer. “Ja ja, you almost never eat und drinks coffee that worsens you sleep und is blunt as a baseball bat,” she said sternly.

“Ja, I am,” he said softly and kissed her nose. “Und how about you mein leuchtendes Juwel?” he asked in return.
She giggled and kissed his nose in return. “Very much so. I’m really glad that I met you…und…” she swallowed in an attempt to stop herself from crying. “Thank you for everything.”
“You’re welcome und danke as well. I feel so lucky to have met you und, I wouldn’t know where I’d be now otherwise. Ich liebe dich so sehr, mein Liebling,” he said and smiled at her.
Shamsel leaned closer and planted another kiss on his lips. “Ich liebe dich so sehr wie auch, mein schatz.” she replied with a goofy smile.
He smiled more before kissing her on the lips in return. He then rested his head on her shoulder again and started to play with her hair once more.
“…Actually, maybe I’ll cut it. Just a bit, so it’s still long.” she suddenly thought out loud, frowning as she felt sweat beginning to form on her back.

“Don’t let me forget zat I said I wanted to do zis. It would be a shame to pass up zat opportunity, ja?” he said with a smile.
“Don’t worry! I’ll keep on reminding you every now und then,” she said with a giggle. “Und even I don’t want to miss that opportunity.”
“Ah, danke, danke!” he said and chuckled. “Already planning zings und zey’re not even born yet! I zink I’m getting more und more excited about eventually starting a family of our own, ja?”
Shamsel gave him a tiny nod and chuckled. She, too can’t wait to have children of their own soon. She rested her forehead against his, smiling widely and eyes closed as she tried to imagine it.
Audwin smiled back at her and hugged her a little closer. He was feeling happy and calm. It was nice to plot something silly for once and he really wanted to stick to it, and have evidence for later reasons.
“Audwin…are you happy?” she asked when she opened her eyes to look at his own. A pair of blue eyes that she always loved to stare at. She wished that their future children will get it instead of hers.
